Persistence May 2026 Update

In May, BridgeKitty got a new look which introduced real-time quote comparison across seven different providers, making it easier to find the best BTCFi swap routes, all from a single interface.

Dear Persisters,

Hope you’ve been doing well since our last update.

May was an exciting month as work on BridgeKitty continued. What initially started only as an MCP for agents has gotten a major upgrade, and is now a BTCFi swap aggregator that compares quotes across 7 providers in real time, making it easier for users and agents to discover the best available cross-chain swaps for Bitcoin, BTC-related assets and stablecoins.

As BTCFi continues to expand across chains, with multiple Bitcoin variants entering the scene, simplifying the user experience remains an important focus. Throughout the month, we introduced a brand new BridgeKitty experience, expanded its capabilities, and continued improving things under the hood to make the product more accessible for both users and agents.

Below is a quick summary of everything that happened throughout May 2026.

Summary of May’26 Updates

May the Fourth Be with Bitcoiners

To celebrate Star Wars Day, we shared a lighthearted tribute to the Bitcoin community with a simple message: May the Fourth be with Bitcoiners.

While much of the month was focused on product development and improving the BTCFi experience, there is always room to celebrate the culture and memes that makes the ecosystem unique.

BridgeKitty Has a New Look 👀

May marked an important milestone for BridgeKitty as it evolved from an MCP for agents into a BTCFi cross-chain swap aggregator.

BridgeKitty now allows users and agents to compare quotes in real time across multiple providers, including Squid, deBridge, Relay, Across, LI.FI, Symbiosis, and Meson, all from a single interface.

The goal is simple: help users and AI agents discover the best available routes for Bitcoin-related assets and stablecoins without having to manually compare providers themselves.

BridgeKitty is already available across Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Rootstock, Bitlayer, BOB, Polygon, Monad, and several other networks. While the product remains in its early stages and is actively being developed, it is another step towards our vision of making BTCFi interoperability more accessible for both users and agents.

Compare and Swap… at Best Quotes

As BTCFi continues to scale, liquidity is becoming increasingly fragmented across chains, assets, and providers.

Finding the most efficient route for a swap can often require checking multiple platforms individually, comparing quotes, fees, and execution paths before making a decision.

Throughout May, Persistence One CEO Jeroen Develter highlighted this growing challenge and how BridgeKitty aims to address it by bringing multiple providers together in a single interface.

Not every update has to be about swaps 🙂

Bitcoin Pizza Day 🍕

May 22 marked another Bitcoin Pizza Day, a date that has become one of the most celebrated moments in Bitcoin history among the community.

The occasion was made even more special by a community-led giveaway in the Persistence SL community, bringing Persisters together to celebrate another year since Bitcoin’s first real-world transaction.

Just Ask BridgeKitty

Throughout May, we continued refining the BridgeKitty experience and expanding its capabilities across supported networks.

BridgeKitty remains in active development, and we look forward to sharing more improvements in the months ahead.

As BTCFi continues to grow and new Bitcoin-related assets emerge across ecosystems, interoperability remains one of the ecosystem’s biggest challenges.

BridgeKitty remains focused on solving it, helping users navigate BTCFi more easily through a single interface, without needing to jump between multiple applications, providers, or platforms.

That wraps up our May update.

We hope you enjoyed the recap, and as always, be sure to follow us across our social channels to stay updated on everything happening across the ecosystem. Thank you for your continued support.

Some standout community efforts 👏
