June was a month of taking significant steps towards the mainnet of our Bitcoin cross-chain swapping solution and feature additions on Persistence DEX.
The community introduced new pool incentives, engaged in a discussion around claiming PCOL rewards, participated in quests, and testnet users were able to try the closed beta-mainnet of our Interop product through whitelisting, helping us identify initial bugs.
We also curated new guides and infographics to improve user understanding of the Interop product and our DEX, while our COO, Jeroen Develter, shared regular product highlights through video snippets and tweets.
As we move closer to gradually opening up the product to the broader BTCfi community and continue building momentum, June marked another step forward in our long-term vision.
Persistence One Highlights
- The community started the month by introducing new incentives on Persistence DEX pools, unlocking fresh opportunities for users across the DeFi landscape.
- We launched a quest campaign at the start of the month to engage the community and help them explore and interact with the DEX more actively.
- We teased ongoing product developments for our Bitcoin Interoperability Solution in early June, giving the community a glimpse of what’s coming.
- We also showcased the pools on the Babylon Genesis Chain via Persistence DEX to increase visibility within the $BABY community.
- Persistence One COO, Jeroen Develter, kickstarted a discussion with the community around reinvesting PCOL rewards into the XPRT/PSTAKE pool on Persistence DEX, inviting feedback and input.
- The Persistence Intern showcased excitement around the Bitcoin Interop product through multiple short-form videos, which we further highlighted across our channels.
- We also highlighted the next set of pools on Persistence DEX to bring them into the community’s focus and gather feedback.
- To make liquid staking $XPRT more seamless, the feature was integrated directly into Persistence DEX, aiming to significantly enhance the overall experience for Persisters.
- After major improvements under the hood across multiple testnet rounds, our Interop product, Persistence DEX v2, went live on mainnet through whitelisted access for testnet participants. Order sizes were limited to help us test the product in a real-world setting and catch early bugs.
- We also created an infographic summarising the incentive distribution plan for testnet participants, along with how the mainnet launch is designed to battle-test the product and deter sybil participants.
- To make the experience even more seamless, we created a guide for users outlining the full flow on beta-mainnet and helping them navigate the product with ease.
- Throughout June, we continued building behind the scenes on Persistence DEX and the Bitcoin Interop product. Our COO, Jeroen Develter, shared weekly updates to keep users informed on the latest developments across the board.

Media & Community
Here are some standout moments from the media and community front during June:
- Our COO, Jeroen Develter, highlighted in a recent snippet how OG Bitcoiners often say the best thing to do is simply hold BTC. But with more L2s going live, utility is growing and DeFi adoption is steadily shifting toward BTC.
- Jeroen also shared thoughts on who solvers are, how the landscape for intent-based bridging could evolve, and how anyone can become a solver at some point in time.
- He also shared his perspective on how swapping BTC can and should become seamless across chains and protocols.
- Jeroen also highlighted that while things move slowly with Bitcoin maxis, they are gradually becoming more curious about Bitcoin DeFi.
XPRT Governance & Token Highlights
Here are some of the most important governance updates around XPRT from June 2025:
- Proposal #137 was passed to upgrade the Persistence codebase to the v11.21.0 software tag at block height 22492000. The upgrade, proposed by the pSTAKE team, was aimed at securely improving the user experience during the deprecation of its Cosmos Liquid Staking solution on Persistence One.
- Proposal #138 was passed to seek community consensus on claiming accrued rewards from the PCOL wallet and reinvesting them into the XPRT/PSTAKE liquidity pool on Persistence DEX, continuing the strategy of building sustainable, community-owned liquidity.
- Proposal #139 was passed, approving stkXPRT rewards for incentivising Persistence DEX pools throughout July 2025.
About Persistence One
Persistence One is building the BTCFi Liquidity Hub, enabling fast, near-zero-slippage swaps for BTC, BTC-variants, and LSTs on Persistence DEX.
