Persistence November 2025 Update

Avatar photo
In November, the incentivized mainnet preparations carried the momentum forward, and the 2026 roadmap outlined what’s next.

November moved things forward on several fronts, from focusing towards community activity to steady progress on the incentivized mainnet and a clearer view of what lies ahead with the release of the 2026 roadmap. It was also a month of more education around intent-based swaps, BTCfi fragmentation, and content around the same.

The focus stays on building consistently and opening the door to broader BTCfi participation in the months to come.

Keep reading to catch up on everything that unfolded in November.

Persistence One Highlights

  • The month began with the community introducing fresh incentives across Persistence DEX pools, setting the stage for broader multi-chain DeFi opportunities.

  • A weekly series of quest campaigns helped carry the engagement through November, beginning from the start of the month.

  • With the campaign approaching, the focus shifted to breaking down the tech behind intent-based cross-chain swaps through a weekly long tweet series, some of which you can find here.

  • The community also helped curate multiple graphic ideas that were shared across our socials during the month.

  • Building on the success of the incentivized testnet campaign earlier this year, the goal was to bring those users back to try the product on mainnet and get them familiar with the experience in advance.

  • The Coin Type migration from 750 to 118 is due on 31 December 2025; weekly reminders were posted throughout November to prompt Persisters to complete the process.

  • Persistence One CEO Jeroen Develter shared weekly tweets throughout November outlining what’s next across product, design, and marketing, keeping the community informed. Follow him on X to stay updated.

  • BTCfi is expanding, yet the ecosystem feels more fragmented than ever. Jeroen shared his thoughts on this in more detail here.

  • Community members helped spread the word through various forms of content across socials, further fuelling community sentiment.

The 2026 roadmap also went live, outlining forward-looking priorities such as exploring new user acquisition channels, partnering with projects to integrate the Interop Widget, expanding support to additional networks, and several other key focus areas. It also included a leadership update that you can read in full here.

Media & Community

Here are some standout moments from the media and community front during November:

  • In early November, Persistence One CEO Jeroen Develter broke down in simple terms how solvers fulfil an intent-based swap and what happens behind the scenes.

  • Jeroen also explained how a marketplace-style setup can significantly improve user experience and enable swaps with near-zero slippage.

  • The Persistence intern shared a funny meme showing how simple it is to express your intent in an intent-based swap compared to hopping across multiple bridges and wrapping or unwrapping BTC.
  • Over 6,000 users took part in quests during the month, and the Squad Program contributed a strong lineup of community-created content.

XPRT Governance & Token Highlights

Here are some of the most important governance updates around XPRT from November 2025:

  • Proposal #153 was passed to recover expired ibc client on Injective.

  • Proposal #154 was passed to upgrade the Persistence codebase to v16.0.0 at block height 24838400. This update brings cosmos sdk v0.53.4, ibc go v10.4.0, ibc callbacks, protocol pool, cosmos sdk epochs, and fixes for channels created through the ibc fee middleware.
