XPRT is your gateway to do everything in the Persistence One ecosystem.
Whether it’s staking XPRT with a validator to earn staking rewards, paying gas fees on the Persistence Core-1 Chain, adding liquidity on the Persistence DEX, or participating in governance to shape the ecosystem’s future.
However, knowing where to buy XPRT and how to transfer it to a supported wallet can be confusing for a new user. That’s why we’ve created this guide, to walk you through the process step-by-step and help you get started smoothly.
Step 1: Setting up Keplr Wallet
First things first, you’ll need a supported wallet to transfer XPRT from a centralized exchange (CEX) or a decentralized exchange (DEX). Keplr Wallet is one of the wallets for interacting with the Persistence One ecosystem. Follow the instructions in the guide to download, install, and set up your wallet.
- Visit Keplr Wallet’s website and follow along the steps to get started.
Once you have successfully installed the Keplr wallet, you need to ensure that the ‘Persistence chain’ is visible in it.
Step 2: Getting your Persistence Address
- It takes less than a minute to ensure the ‘Persistence chain’ is visible in your Keplr wallet. Click on ‘Settings’ at the bottom right-hand corner.
- Click on ‘General’ on the settings page.
- Scroll down to find the option ‘Manage chain visibility’.
- Ensure that the ‘Persistence chain’ is selected.
- After clicking ‘Save’ and opening your Keplr wallet, you can find and copy your Persistence address by clicking the copy button beside it.
Now you are all set to transfer XPRT from either a centralised exchange or a decentralised exchange to your Keplr wallet.
Step 3: Transferring XPRT to your wallet
To transfer XPRT to your wallet, you’ll first need to acquire XPRT from either a centralized or decentralized exchange. You can find all the possible avenues to trade XPRT on the platforms of Coingecko or CoinMarketCap. The sites will show you the exchanges and trading pairs available for XPRT.
Below, you’ll find some of the platforms to transfer XPRT directly into your Keplr wallet.
Centralised exchanges
Gate.io
- You can trade XPRT/USDT on Gate.io – https://www.gate.io/trade/XPRT_USDT
- On the withdrawal page, enter your ‘Persistence address’ from your Keplr wallet and ‘The amount of XPRT’ you wish to transfer.
Kucoin
- You can trade XPRT/USDT on Kucoin – https://www.kucoin.com/trade/XPRT-USDT
- On the withdrawal page, enter your ‘Persistence address’ from your Keplr wallet and ‘The amount of XPRT’ you wish to transfer.
Please note, that while you are transferring XPRT from a Centralised exchange to your wallet, you don’t require a TAG/MEMO.
Decentralised Exchanges
Swapfast by Leap
- To acquire from Decentralised Exchanges and send it straight to the Persistence chain, you can use an aggregator such as Swapfast. Check it out here.
IBC Transfer from Osmosis
- Another option to acquire is IBC transferring from Osmosis. Check it out here.
- After swapping to XPRT, you can IBC transfer to the Persistence chain by scrolling a bit on the same page.
- Click on ‘Connect to Persistence’ and approve the wallet prompt.
- Click on ‘Review withdraw’ and click on ‘Confirm’.
After approving the wallet request, your XPRT will now be on the Persistence chain.
Once you’ve got your XPRT, it’s time to put it to work. Whether staking, adding liquidity, or voting on key proposals, the opportunities are endless. Check out our other guides on making the most of your tokens and start playing your part in building the Persistence ecosystem.
