Learn how to bridge ATOM from Cosmos Hub to Persistence, and add liquidity in XPRT/ATOM Pool on Persistence DEX.

Persistence DEX has an exciting DeFi opportunity for ATOM holders in its ecosystem.

Deposits for ATOM are live on Persistence DEX, allowing you to easily bridge ATOM from Cosmos Hub to the Persistence Core-1 chain in just a few clicks and then add liquidity to the ATOM/XPRT pool.

This guide will show you how to IBC transfer ATOM from the Cosmos Hub to Persistence Core-1 and use it to add liquidity to the ATOM/XPRT pool on Persistence DEX.

Whether you’re exploring DeFi opportunities or looking to put ATOM to work, this step-by-step walkthrough will help you navigate the process effortlessly.

Prerequisites

  • Setting up your wallet (Keplr or another IBC-compatible wallet)
  • Ensuring ATOM tokens are available on Cosmos Hub
  • Holding a small amount of XPRT for transaction fees on Persistence Core-1

Step 1: Setting Up Keplr Wallet

Before you can add liquidity to the ATOM/XPRT pool, you’ll need a compatible wallet. Keplr Wallet is one of the wallets for interacting with the Persistence One ecosystem. Follow the instructions in the guide to download, install, and set up your wallet.

    Step 2: Acquiring XPRT

You’ll need XPRT on ‘Persistence Core-1 Chain’ to create and add liquidity and to pay for the gas fee. This can be acquired from exchanges or bridged to the Persistence chain using Osmosis.

    • You can find more information on where to acquire XPRT on Coingecko.

Step 3: IBC transfer ATOM to Persistence Core-1 Chain.

This is very easy and straightforward and takes less than a minute to complete.

    • Click on ‘Connect Wallet’ at the top left corner and click on ‘Keplr’.
    • Choose ‘Select all’ to accept the terms and conditions.
    • Scroll down a bit, to find the ‘ATOM’ label and click on ‘Deposit’ beside the row.
    • After connecting ‘Cosmos Hub’, it will show your available ATOM balance to transfer to Persistence Core-1 chain.
    • Enter the desired amount, and click on ‘Deposit’.
    • Approve the transaction in your wallet.

    Await for the transaction confirmation.

Step 4: Adding Liquidity in the ATOM/XPRT Pool

    • Navigate to the ‘Pools’ tab and click on ‘ATOM/XPRT’ pool.
    • Click on ‘Add Liquidity’ and enter the desired number of tokens you wish to add to the pool.
    • Bonding your LP tokens for 7 days will earn you the pool incentives. Liquidity that is not bonded will still earn trading fees, however.
    • Click on ‘Add Liquidity’ and approve the transaction.
    • After it gets confirmed, you will be able to see your added ‘Liquidity’ on the page, making you eligible to enjoy the APR and monthly incentives.

That’s it, you have now successfully transferred ATOM from Cosmos Hub to the Persistence Core-1 chain and added liquidity to the ATOM/XPRT pool on Persistence DEX.

    Step 5: Claiming Rewards

To claim your accumulated rewards, follow the steps below.

    • Click on ‘Claim All Rewards’ and approve the transaction in your wallet to complete the process.
